Cairo, Dahabeya Nile Cruise Program and the Nubian Village
Word Dahabiya means “Golden Boat”, Dahabeya, as Sailboats were common in Egypt during the beginning of the 20th century when the royal family and travelers loved to cruise the Nile and to explore its mysterious nature. They rented the boats for weeks, and made their way from a temple to another, enjoying the river breeze. These boats had from three to nine cabins.

10 Days / 09 Nights (Cairo-Luxor – Esna – Edfu - Jabal El Selsela – Daraw – Aswan - Nubian Village)
Day 01 : Cairo
Arrival at Cairo international airport, meet and assist by Your Tour representative. Transfer to Cairo hotel, time at leisure or you can choose to do a tour from our various optional excursions, overnight.
Day 02 : Cairo/ Esna
Check out after breakfast.Transfer to Cairo international airport for departure to Luxor. Arrival to Luxor meet and assist by Your Tour representative followed by visit the West Bank "Valley of Kings, Hatshepsut temple and Memnon Colossi" , lunch and visit the East Bank "Karnak and Luxor temple" . Transfer to Esna City and embarkation, Set sail on voyage to El Hegaz Island (Small Island located in north Edfu, approx 05 hrs. sailing). Overnight close to El Hegaz Island.
Day 03 : Edfu
Morning sailing gently en-route to Edfu (approx 05 hrs. sailing), breakfast at leisure, visit Edfu Temple by horse carriage, one of the largest and most intact of Egypt’s monuments. Two beautiful granite statues of the Falcon God Horus flank the entrance. After visit the temple set sail for private island “El Fouza” (Approx 01 hour sailing) where disembark for dinner served on the edge of the Nile.
Day 04 : Relaxing Sailing day
Start the day by sailing around 08 hours to El Remadya Nubian Village (approx 05 hrs. sailing) resume sailing to Besaw Island (Approx 03 hrs. sailing) during sailing you experience the simple life style of farmers and fishermen. Contemplate the beautiful and mysterious nature of the great Nile and the green fields of Island Bissau. Continue to edge of Silslea Mountain ( Approx 03 hrs. sailing) where you will have dinner and overnight on board next to the temple enjoying the romantic atmosphere.
Day 05 : Silsela- Mainha Island
After breakfast visit the temple of Gebel El Silsela, where you will discover the unknown rock cut temple of Hormoheb and famous sandstone quarries in ancient Egypt. Continue to Mainha Island (Approx 05 hrs. sailing) enjoying barbecue dinner with the drums and folk music around the camp fire.
Day 06 : Kom Ombo
Breakfast and continue sail on to Kom Ombo (Approx 02 hrs.) . Explore the unusually temple of Hours and Sobek. The temple was built with total symmetry two entrance’s two halls and two sanctuaries dedicated to the Falcon God Haroeris (Horus the Elder) and the crocodile God Sobek. Proceed to Daraw city (Approx 02 hrs. sailing) , the most amazing and attractive part of this town is the unbelievable Camel Market in the south of Kom Ombo you may see more than 2000 camels brought to participate in the great selling show. After lunch sailing from Daraw to Kobania (Approx 05 hrs. sailing) , there you are going to enjoy your last night trip with the Nubian party.
Day 07 : Kom Ombo / Aswan
Sail to Aswan (Approx 03 hrs. sailing),exploring the famous city visit the High Dam, crossing the original barrage over the First Cataract, visit the pin Aswan granite quarry and examine the impressive Hatshepsut Unfinished Obelisk. For most, the highlight is a motorboat ride to the romantic Temple of Philae, which was dedicated to the goddess Isis. Afternoon Sail by felucca to the Botanical Garden where Lord Kitchener indulged his passion for exotic flora, importing shrubs, trees and seeds from as far afield as India and Malaysia, It is pleasant to walk along the island’s shady paths, enjoying its fragrance and a variety of the bird life before taking another felucca sail back to Aswan. Dinner on board and overnight.
Day 08 : Aswan/ Disembarkation / Nubian village
Disembarkation after breakfast , motor boat to cross the Nile to the Nubian Village, check in at the Nubian House, time at leisure , dinner and overnight.
Day 09 : Nubian Village / Cairo
Check out after breakfast. Transfer to Aswan international airport for departure to Cairo. Arrival Cairo followed by Visit the Giza Pyramids , Egyptian Museum and Salah Din Citadel followed by lunch, Check in at hotel , time at leisure or you can choose to do a tour from our various optional excursions, overnight.
Day 10 : Final departure
Check out after breakfast. Transfer to Cairo International airport for final departure.
